Happy new year to everyone.
First, some good news for someone. I volunteered enough hours at Boskone last year to earn a free membership to this years Boskone. But I bought a life membership at Boskone some time ago. NESFA has put rules on whom I may transfer this membership to, the main one is that it be someone who does not ordinarily attend Boskone. So, if any of my friends wants a free membership to Boskone http://www.nesfa.org/boskone/ just let me know. I'll need your real name, mail address and e-mail for the transfer process.
Also, next saturday is our monthly bostonfur lunch thingy at Fire and Ice restaurant on Boyleston Street, Boston. Noon on the 10th. Hope to see folks there. Although, I may not be. OUr company holiday party is scheduled for the 9th, and if past trends continue, there will be a massive snowstorm that day.
Arisia is the following weekend, january 16-19. http://2009.arisia.org/ I will, as usual, be there, volunteering in the con suite. ANyone around boston who is at the convention should stop in and say hi. Memberships to arisia sold out last year on friday early evening, so if you are planning on coming to the convention, I suggest getting your membership right now today.
