A merry happy to everyone.
Dec. 26th, 2008 09:47 amDay after chirstmas here. Assorted family came over for christmas dinner and giftmas afterwards. My brother Wes and his family, and sister vicki stayed out on the left coast, but visited with my dad's sister& clan out there, so they got to cluster with family as well. Presents were a little thin on the ground this year, mostly consisting of money in various forms. But the kids are now all in high school, and one just starting college, so toys are no longer the thing.
The weather was lovely and warm, the 2 foot of snow outside was reduced to about six inches by the rain the day before, and temps above 40 all day. warm enough that when the collective menfolk retreated outside to examine my dad's broken snowblower and debate repairs, I only put on a light jacket. Much nicer than the single digits and heavy blowing snow of the weekend.
I have the day off from work today, so if anyone is interested in activities, I am as well. Otherwise I'll be camped out in front of the TV watching the Mythbusters marathon. And ordering the part for the snowblower.
Anyone interested in going to First Night in Boston?
