Annoyances
Oct. 12th, 2011 11:25 pmThis is mostly a vent piece, you don't have to read any further.
So, this week, monday was the columbus day holiday. Work is closed. I have gotten friday as a vacation day a while ago, so I could go to furfright this weekend. Tuesday morning, I get handed a pile of parts for a conversion project that I've had waiting for management approval of the funding for nearly two years. Oh yeah, this conversion project has to be done to all 18 units to go to a client on friday. I have to completely dismantle the light, remove the old parts, install the new parts and wiring, drill and tap new mounting holes, and do a burn in test.
and if I can't have them done on thursday, I'll have to come in on friday to finish them off. Not to mention the other things that I've been waiting for parts since july that also have to be completed for another client to pick up on monday.
Not much wonder my blood pressure has been acting up lately.
And yes, I know being busy at work is a good problem to have. But it's still a problem. *sighs*
