No conventions for Dale

I was sitting in the car at the oil change whileUwait place, just hanging out and nibbling on some beef jerky when I feel and hear an unpleasant cracking noise from my mouth. extracting the piece of jerky I was trying to bite through reveals a big hunk of tooth. Oh joy. It's one of the teeth I had a root canal done on many years ago, so there is no pain, but it is gonna hurt the wallet. Probbaly going to need a crown, and my health benifits don't kick in for about 60 more days.
There goes my convention budget for the summer. Bye bye. *sighs*




Just gotta convince my tongue to stop exploring the broken tooth. Yes, I already KNOW it's broken tongue, you can stop telling me now. Really, I know. I haven't forgotten since the last time you told me, a couple minutes ago.

Oh man, that so, so sucks. I'm sorry dude :( *snugs* Dental work on its own is bad enough, having to do it without insurance is just cruel :( (I've had my share of crowns and root canals...)

Today's dental visit was just under 400 bucks, that just to do the prep work and stick in a temporary tooth. Next weeks visit and the follow up after that to finish the crown is going to run about 1500 bucks. Ouch. And I asked about the dental benefits at work today, they don't cover crowns anyway. *sighs*
