Double whammy to the bank account.

Got my dentist appointment. Oral surgery and probably a false tooth or implant, depending on how little my dental plan covers. Couple a thousand bucks easily. *owtch*
ANd tonight, my car crapped out on me. $109.50 for the tow truck to get it to the garage, who knows how much the repair is going to cost. But it's a Volvo, so it ain't gonna be cheap.

This is probably going to kill my trip to furfright next month. *sighs*

At least one of my "teeth" has a metal post screwed into my jaw and a crown over it (I think there are two of them like that). But it was expen$ive. A different dentist didn't even consider doing that... then again, different dentists have varying levels of skill.


"Should have had AAA..." I headed out yesterday and there were Horrible Noises from the car. I turned around and went back down the driveway, popped the hood, the engine didn't sound like it was destroying itself, started backing up the driveway again, the Horrible Noise was there, went back down. Walked around the car--the left front tire was completely and totally flattened. Oops. I emptied out the trunk of the car and got out the spare, started jacking up the car, tried unsuccessfully to get the nuts off,m then realized, "I have AAA, I should call them! So I did. It was a half hour or more longer than I was told the emergency service would show up, but I had a driveable car again after. New tires get put on this week.
