Try snow cone syrup or actual slush puppy syrup for the slush machine. My mother had a slushie machine at the snack bar she managed one summer, it used a sugar solution and she just got snow cone syrups for it and put them in pump bottles. One pump small, two for mediums, three for large. It's a slushie, it's supposed to be sickeningly sweet.
