Snowpocolypse!

It's snowing here. Started around 3pm, now it's 11pm and there is 8-10 inches on the ground. Governor has declared a state of emergency. My boss called to let me know that work was gonna be closed tomorrow. So the four day holiday weekend just had another day added to it. although the day is gonna be full of snow blowing and snow shoveling, so I'm not sure it really counts as a holiday.

And just to let me know that god is still an iron, our snowplow guy came by to do a first pass of our driveway about half an hour ago. Not ten minutes after he left to go on to his next spot, the town snowplow came down the street to push up a nice barrier across the end of the driveway.
*sighs* I'll worry about that tomorrow.
got the snowblower out this afternoon, filled up the gas and checked the oil, started it up and it's now hiding under a tarp, ready to attack the layer of cold white shit on the driveway.

Time for sledding fun! Midnight is warming up for a window scraping and we'll give it another shot, I have one driveway that drifts really bad.

Waking up in the morning. Winds still blowing hard, all the trees I can see out the windows are swaying more or less nonstop. hard to tell, but it loooks like the snow is still coming down, mostly sideways. Lots of drifting and blowing snow. I'm staying in for a while, still have power, so no reason to try to leave. I'm guessing a foot of snow on the ground, but with the winds and drifting, really hard to gauge the depth. It's a couple inches at one spot, but a few feet away, it's a couple feet deep.
