dalesqlgot some new toys. Big one is the new laptop I got this morning on a black friday sale. I've been needing a new comp all summer, but I've been nursing the old one along hoping I'd get a good deal today.
The more toylike toy is a green laser pointer.. been wanting one of these since I first saw one several years ago. But the multihundred dollar price tag kept me from getting one until last week. was ordering some stuff online from a electronics surplus place, and noticed they had a green laser pointer for $19.95. snagged that right quick. I hope I don't break it in a month or so like the last laser pointer I got.
The cats at my brother's place chased the green dot quite satisfactorily. I'm waiting for a nice foggy night to shoot it down the street for the full lazer effect.
Parents continue to slowly recover. Mom and dad are now much more interested in buying a replacement car, and mom wants to try driving again, so she can get herself around town again.
They like my car, so they are talking like they are going to buy a minivan for me, and take my car for their use. Which is fine with me, gets me a vehicle more suited for my needs. Have to juggle the insurance and so on when that happens, but that is just a paperwork hassle.
