Report from the festival.

Been in Bangor since sunday. been doing a lot of work, but due to a lot of factors that are beyond my control, this year's festival has been, well, a lot more interesting than usual. (Interesting, as in that old chinese curse, "May you live in interesting times.")
Until today, the weather has been cooperating nicely. But shortly after lunch break, the rain front moved in. Intermittent heavy rain showers, but it never stopped raining for more than a few minutes at a time. Just long enough to give you hope and start removing bits of raingear. Adding insult to injury, the golf cart I was using to schlep me and the gear around the site broke down, leaving me to begging rides from other people or walking around in the rain with steadily getting wetter and heavier clothing.
weather is supposed to be scattered showers in the morning, clearing and sunny in the afternoon. I hope so, festival opens friday at 6pm, and there is still a lot of power cables and distros to put out, hook up and troubleshoot. Food vendors and crafters start showing up tomorrow.
Long range weather-guessing has it nice and sunny for the weekend and load-out days. Which is a good thing for me. Loading out in the rain and associated mud is an exhausting ordeal.
