Yesterday (saturday) Took a drive out to Worcester and saw the touring production of A Chorus Line at the Hanover Theater. I'd never actually seen the show before, so that was also nice. I was looking at the lighting design a lot, since they kept Theron Musser's original broadway design pretty much intact. (It had been cut down somewhat to accommodate the split-week tour mode that the tour is in right now.)
Fun show, and I commend anyone interested in theater to go see it. Also, don't go for the front row seats, but get a balcony seat. That way you can see all the pretty pictures that are painted with the light.

What I should have been doing was clearing out the basement from all the waterlogged stuff that had been sitting in the inch or so of water we got inside from the 11 inches of rain that fell outside all last week. time to also go buy another wet vac and a replacement sump pump. Both of ours proved to be inadequate to deal with the water seeping in from the ground. Not this week, but next week, once all the stores have restocked and started marking prices down again.

I think another dehumidifier as well. The one we have is still working fine, but getting another would help a lot in getting the basement dry faster.

Theron's always been good at painting pretty pictures with light. Jen Tipton is good for that too. Some pieces of the show are so integrated into what everyone expects that every production you'll ever see has them.
