Weekend update.

It's been rather a rollercoaster last two weeks. Running around like a madman
getting ready for the holiday season, work was getting busy, and then WHAM.

I find out that Darkwolfie, who had been gravely ill in the intensive care unit at
Mass General from H1N1 influenza and subsequent complications, got carried off as they were weaning him from the respirator and blood oxygenating machine. Antibiotic resistant hospital acquirred infection. Haven't heard about funeral arrangements, but I'll be there. My prayers in support for his wife. Hugs for you Tasha.

In lighter news, we have been having wicked cold weather here, late January temperatures and snowfall in the middle of december. Just finished clearing a foot of snow from the driveway and front walk. Fortunately, my cousin, who I thought had given up the snowplowing gig, came by and got the majority of the driveway. Thanks Perry, I owe you one.

Biggest remaining worry is if the presents I ordered will make it here in time. Which as worries go, is pretty small.

Hi there. We may have met at one of the bostonfur lunchmeets, but I don't know who you are in RL. I was just intrigued by another furry who plays a squirrel, and you are only in the next town over from me, which is even more unusual.
LJ just added a new feature that users can see who have looked at their journal. So I looked at it and noticed your name. Being attuned to squirrelleyness in all it's spellings, it caught my eye.

Hope we can meet sometime and chat, see what happens then.

Hee. I tend to be very... isolative. Stay at home, don't leave, hide. But still, yeah. That's me. Squirrel, next town over, etc.
