But it wasn't.

About a mile down the road from where I work. No shit, it really can happen here.

I went through the same feeling of disbelief when this happened in my hometown.

There's no such thing as a 'safe' place anymore.

well, I know that no place is perfectly safe already. And having been a customer in a convience store that had the bad taste to be robbed while I was in it, I already knew that terrible feeling of helplessness of being a lawfully disarmed victim.

That's why I think the best answer to hijackers isn't the huge boondoggle that the TSA and it's fellow travelers are shitting onto the traveling public. The best answer is that each adult passenger is issued a single shot pistol upon boarding, and it is collected upon deplaning. Yup, the terrorist has a gun. But he only has one round... and every other passenger also has a gun.

But that will be adopted shortly after my solution to drunk drivers is implemented. (Don't take away their drivers license for six months. Take away their seat belt and replace their airbag with a shotgun shell for six months. )

Well I can't say that its good that the wacko took
himself out after the shooting, its cheaper for
the rest of us but if Mr Trang had started with himself
it wouldn't be such a big deal.

Hope the victim recovers.
