So mom had the MRI early this morning. Couldn't find anything on that, so mom got sent home, as medicare won't pay for more than two days in the hospital without a certified diagnosis. I stopped by the hospital on the way home from work, hopefully for the last time, and gave the nurses and care staffers on the ward some fancy crackers and three cheese trays. One tray for each of the three shifts. Warned them not to let the interns at the trays until all the nurses and PCAs had a chance at it first. And a box of those rock candy coffee stirrers for the sugar fiends. They seemed to appreciate that.

Mom is about the same as yesterday. Way better than she was in the ER. Alert and oriented in the morning, later in the day her short term memory loses focus. Her bladder and bowel are still an issue.

Dad is still at the nursing home. Sister brought mom there on the way home to visit for a while. Dad is grumpy because none of the promised doctors or therapists had been there to see him today. Hopefully tomorrow. Hopefully they are continuing his anticoagulants for the blood clots. His leg is still slightly swollen, but way better than it was. Fortunately, the nursing home is only about a five minute drive from home, so it's easy to visit there. Unfortunately, normal visiting hours end before I can get there after work, so I gotta talk on the intercom to the security guard to buzz me in the door.

Tomorrow is friday, and I have no idea what I used to have planned for the weekend. Whatever it was, I'm probably not gonna be there.
