I was wrong.
Mar. 30th, 2010 10:18 pmEven though I bought the new sump pump, the water came into the basement again today. But the new sump pump does work. Only annoyance is that it's a submersible model, so if it is not underwater, it will over temp and shut itself off every ten minutes or so. The method I used was to unplug it when it does this, and then put it into a bucket of water to cool off for a few minutes, then put the pump back into the water on the floor and plug it back in.
that wetvac I mentioned the other post. Still not in stock at my local Lowes store. I'm tempted to just order it online.
Got the water pumped down to about half an inch and decided to call it a night. It's still raining so new water is gonna seep in overnight anyway, no point in fighting with my dad's junky wetvac to get the puddles that are just gonna fill in overnight anyway. I think I'll be late to work tomorrow though.
