Back home again from Boskone, where I ran the con suite. It was a vastly more pleasant experience this year than last. I didn't get an awful nasty bug that struck me down all during the con this year. Yay! Overspent my budget a little bit. 60 dozen hard boiled eggs were popular. And the large selection of herbal teas seemed to garner acclaim. But you were probably wondering about the title.

Saturday, while I was running out to BJs to buy some more soda and coffee, a lady came by the con suite. One who had access to the breads from a couple of local high end bakeries, and a high end supermarket. Specifically, the breads and pasteries that they threw out at the end of each day. She brought in about 50 pounds of assorted bread and rolls. When I got back from my shopping trip, I was surprised, and pleased at the yeasty goodness that was piled up for the convention members.
She came by again with more saturday evening. A hotel luggage cart, piled about six feet high with more breads, rolls, and pasteries. OMG. When it got spread out, it covered two six foot tables, piled about about two feet high. With all sorts of breads that I had never even heard of, and would never have actually spent the money on in a store. I was in heaven. (Did I mention that I really like bread? )
Sunday morning, she arrived again with another bellman's cart piled high. This time it also included a hundred or so of those little plastic tubs full of fresh cut fruits and melons. I rather pigged out, snagging a one quart container of pineapple chunks for my breakfast. And she returned again in the afternoon with *another* cart full of bread and fruits.

Best fed con suite *I've* ever been in. And I had no idea she was coming.
