food poisoning or something...



Must have eaten something dodgy, as I spent  all of friday evening with bad nausea and vomiting.    As it turns out, I had, without realizing I had done that, eaten a couple of new to me foods over the course of the afternoon and evening, so I can't really say it was this or that.   Might have been something else as well.    I think I also had a fever, as I was a bit loopy and woozy during the evening, but I didn't think to take my temperature, which indicates how loopy I was.   

  At one point, I was so debilitated by whatever it was, I was sitting on the toilet (cause I felt like I was about to have diarrhea as well) and felt myself passing out for a short period of time.  tunnel vision closing in and everything.  When I came back, I felt the vomit coming again, and jumped up to puke in the toilet.   I didn't even notice until I had finished that bout that I had managed to vomit all over myself while I was seated.  That took me almost half an hour to clean up the mess all over the bathroom, then into the shower to wash the residue from my body.   ick.  

  After three bathroom episodes, I figured that there was not much left in my belly, so I went downstairs around 10 and watched TV and sipped my cool water.   nope, there is still some left in my belly.  I made the toilet in time so there was very little cleanup after that episode.   back to the TV and cool water, and I finally fell asleep around 2am.    Woke up around 3, went to bed, where I slept fitfully all night.   

  this morning, started washing all the splashed clothes and so on.  Still feeling weak as a kitten.    Haven't tried eating anything more than cool water yet.    I think I'll be staying home this weekend.  

Update, 10am.     I was so out of it last night that I unintentionally locked one of the cats in the downstairs bathroom overnight.    *ugh*  sorry kitty, sorry Geri.    When door was opened this morning, cat shot out at speed.     I'm cat sitting Geri Sullivan's cats while she goes out to michigan for a few weeks to deal with her dad's house.   

  Now I got the diarrhea.  I figure I would be unwise to venture far from the bathroom for a while.     I managed one bite of bread before nausea took over, so this thing is still running.    Yuck.

I had that recently, too, but not quite as bad. Watch out for coughing about a week later...
