So, it's thanksgiving time again. My company gives us the day after thanksgiving off as well, since most of the staff go out of state for the day. So this brings up this question.

Does anyone want to go do stuff on the day after thanksgiving with me? I'm gonna be avoiding the stores, not only because I hate the whole black friday madness thing, but also because last week Iput my car in for an oil change and inspection sticker. The final bill ended up being $992 and change. oy! So, no spare cash gonna be on hand.

one thing is the annual MIT day after thanksgiving event. Lots of crazy rube goldberg machines, all linked up in a chain.

Just went and looked. Unless you are a student or senior citizen, it is $15 admission. It includes admission to the MIT museum that day. So I'm looking for other things. If the weather is nice, maybe a tramp about at a park someplace or kite flying?

I'm up for whatever. If the Museum of Science is open that day, I have a membership that allows me to get myself and four others in for free, if you're interested.

I haven't been to MoS in years. Back when I was in high school I used to volunteer tour guide there one summer. That sounds like a winner. So far, nobody else has indicated interest. Weather prospects look decent for friday.

Cool! Sounds like a plan! What time should I meet you there?

Just checked, yup, they are open friday. Pretty much anytime works for me. The lightning show, which I want to see and feel, is at noon, 2 & 4. We can meet and park for free at the NESFA clubhouse (www.nesfa.org)in Somerville, and catch the bus from there to Lechmere. There are a number of decent little eateries around NESFA if you want to meet for lunch first. Once you get online, IM me. I'll probably be online most of this evening.
