My laptop has died.
Sep. 17th, 2005 11:49 pmand the prognosis is not good. *sighs*
It's about five years old, and laptops usually only last about two years, so it really doesn't owe me anything, but it still is inconvienent. Hopefully my backup has been
working lately. Won't know for sure till I get it fixed or end up buying a new computer.
I've gotta find the install disk for the thing, which I haven't seen for a couple years, and boot it up in repair mode. *grumps* ANyone in the Boston area have a windows 2000 install CD I can borrow?
I'll probably end up buying a desktop system this time, way less expensive than a new
laptop. So I'll have limited e-mail and so on access for the near future, gotta borrow
time on my parent's computer and use webmail. Hope I can salvage my email files and
so on.
