So, after buying the propane adapter I needed at the Tractor Supply store that was convienently located next door to the pelham furmeet last night. Hooked up the tank of propane from the old trailer we junked several years ago. Followed the directions and the thing started up on the second pull of the cord. Took me by surprise, as I was following the process that said gently pull the cord a couple times before starting.
Let it warm up for a couple minutes, metered the output, it was 122 volts. Plugged in an electric chainsaw and cut up a pallet for firewood. Shut it down, put it away, and ready for the next power failure.
I am pleased. If history repeats itself, now that I have a working generator, the power will not go out.
