The excommunicated founder of the Westboro "God hates fags" Baptist Church reportedly died last night. Rest in piss Phred Felps. I'm sure that all the remaining inbred haters in your church will be joining you in hell soon. I may be by sometime to desecrate your grave. Whenever it is convenient for me, I'm certainly not going to make a special trip for it.

Nah, that's just lowering to their level. I read a commentary by someone who thought that the Westboro protesters have actually done more to unify and rally the gay community (and thus advance the cause of marriage equality) by providing a tangible adversary. Less-extreme opponents were loath to be painted with the same brush as the Westboro nuts so they held back.

He was a detestable, hateful man to everyone - including his own family. I would not go out of my way to protest his funeral, or desecrate his grave because in my mind that would give him the dignity of even acknowledgment. I don't give the trash a second thought once it's in the dumpster.
