Sorry about the food poisoning/whatever. From your description, it certainly had the intensity of food poisoning.
The urps may well have brought on the temporary blackout. I once passed out from a burp that triggered some sort of spasm (I've forgotten its name). Very weird: one moment I'm standing at the Burger King salad bar (back in the late 1980s), the next there's an intense feeling, like I swallowed a belch, the tunnel vision thing, then I'm coming to on the floor.
