Has LJ been hacked?

Tonight I am reading LJ and a couple different LJ groups I read have been spammed with viagra ads. Never seen a spate of them all at once like that before. Am I just unlucky or has there been a compromise of LJ group security?

They've been targeting groups and journals that don't require screening/verification/approval/whatever for new members, or for posting comments. I guess someone simply figured out how to write a bot to automate the process.
