Winter is over at my house.
Apr. 11th, 2014 10:54 pmThe last bit of ice outside melted away sometime this week. You know, where the snowplow packed it underneath into that shady place the sun never reaches. It was there last weekend, a couple of square feet left out of the once mighty mound. I noticed this morning that it is now gone.
But, I was at the mall this week. (Had to buy some wrenches for work, and the only store that stocks them is Sears.) When I drove around the back of the mall, I saw the snowbank. The still two story tall snowbank on the back side of the parking structure where all the snow got pushed over the edge all winter long.
IN further joyous news, because one of our drivers at work is out with a back injury, monday morning I get to drive one of our trucks down to the garden state to pick up some gear. I have to be on the road in the truck around 0330 in way too fscking early in the morning though. Which means my alarm clock is gonna be set for shortly after 2am. Ugh.
