Weirdest olympic sport

My nomination:  Racewalking.   

It's not running, it's sorta kinda like jogging, But the runner has to keep contact with the ground at all times, unlike normal running or jogging.   And it's a race.    It's just weird to me.  

It's time to festivate!

It's that time of year again.   time for me to head up to Bangor, Maine to work on the folk festival up there.   Any of my friends who are near Bangor, I'll be in the Holiday Inn out by the airport when I'm not working on the festival site.   Up there August 19th, heading back home the 28th.  Would be nice to see folks.

Stopping at Fyrdawgs on the way up for some socializing too.  

Hope that this time we don't have a hurricane come through the last day of the festival.  *laughs*  taking down stuff in a hurricane was a wet and unpleasant experience.     I hope everyone is having a lovely summer.
