Not such a good afternoon.
Mar. 26th, 2008 05:59 pmHere I am, sitting at my computer typing with the use of only one eye. My other eye is currently hiding under a patch because I managed to bounce a chip of wood into it, one that somehow managed to dodge around my safety glasses. Managed to scratch the eyeball before I got it out. Took the rest of the day off after sitting with my eye closed for half an hour didn't help it much.
Hopefully it is a minor scratch, and should resolve overnight. Otherwise, off to the expensive doctor's office for poking and prodding and dripping of stuff in my eyes, followed by shining UV and bright lights in to annoy me, which will resolve into one of two verdicts. I either have a scratch to the eyeball, or that they could not see a scratch. Treatment is the same in both cases, rest the eye (Keep it closed) and if it gets infected, antibiotics. *sighs*
At least I loaded the new to me gas grill into the car before this happened. I'll unload it in the morning and see if it works. If it does, then seared meat for the nesfa other meeting on sunday at my place.
