Snowmageddon, again, and Boskone preparations.

Got about a foot of snow today. Work was closed, so I spent the day inside catching up on sleep and TV viewing. Only went out to run the snowblower in the afternoon. Cleared off the driveway and walk, and the fire hydrant and the street drain. Weatherguessers were calling for a few snow showers this evening, so probably will have to do a bit of shoveling in the morning. May just spread out ice melt chemical instead.

Preparing for Boskone. Worksession that was scheduled for tonight has been pushed off to tomorrow. So, tomorrow, after work, off to the Resturant Depot to buy 30 dozen eggs and a few other things, then into NESFA for the worksession, and then home. Might postpone buying the eggs until friday evening though, a bit worried they might freeze sitting in my car overnight, which would be messy. Planning on hardboiling them saturday.

I still have a rollover boskone membership I can gift to someone who is willing to come help me with the con suite. Please, I need help.

FYI, Arisia found that RD now sells hard boiled eggs. If you are going there, I'd be curious of the prices both ways (fresh and hard boiled). If you don't get to it, I'll stop by sometime and check myself. Thanks.

If I weren't a huckster, I would have no problem coming and helping you out. But I'm tied down all day and by evening usually too tired to even sit and chat in the con suite, so working would not be a good thing.

If you put the eggs in a cooler in the car, they should stay cold and not freeze. But I agree it would be messy if they did so waiting is probably a good idea. Letting them sit at room temps shouldn't hurt them or if you have a basement thats just a little cooler they would be fine overnight.

See you next week.

Forecast for tonight was for single digit temps, so I decided to not buy the eggs until later. Gonna be hardboiling all weekend.
