Wendell Yau Git Ing, FN
(19 July 1940 - November 2011)
Wendell was born in Hawaii. He attended Punahou School and graduated fromthe California Institute of Technology in 1962 with a bachelor's degree in physics.
Wendell worked in the Boston area in computers. He was active in the search for the NESFA Clubhouse. He was elected a Fellow of NESFA in 1980.
He died this month following a long illness and survived by his wife Mary and many friends.
I knew Wendell when he was active in NESFA. While I never really got to know him too well, as I was far shyer in those days than I am now, I wish I had. Unfortunately I was unable to attend the memorial service for him yesterday. My prayers for his friends and family who must go on now without him.
