The government is stealing an hour of my sleep.

Once again, it's time for the annual theft of an hour of my sleep time by the government in the guise of saving daylight. I've always wondered what the real reason they took all that time from all the people living in the country. That's an awful lot of time that they get. For free.

I know, they do eventually give it back to us in the fall. But we don't get any interest on it or anything. That's something like three hundred million hours. One for each person in the united states. (well, except for Arizona. Somehow they evaded this tax on our time. ) What does the government do with all that time.
Do they store it in area 52, and refuel alien spaceships with it? Is it a conspiracy? Inquiring minds want to know. Mostly, I just don't want to lose sleep over it.

Well if I remember correctly Day light savings time was actually started as a way to save lamp oil and maximize the amount of daylight available during "normal" working hours.

But beyond that, do your realize that that they could fuel an Emperor class battle cruiser / plant converter, from the Cyberman fleet?
